Shop Policies and FAQ
How do I know how big/small a piece is and how it will fit?
All sizing information will be listed below the description of the piece in the details section. I try to note all of the relevant lengths and widths, but if you are ever left with questions please just let me know! I am always happy to take more pictures etc. to give you a better idea of how a piece will fit.
If you don't know your ring size, I recommend running down to your nearest jewelry shop and having them help you get your perfect measurement! If this is not possible, please just contact me and I'll do my best to help determine if the ring you are looking at will be a good match for your finger.
Will you resize rings?
Because the bands on my rings are usually decorated in some way or another, in most cases I cannot resize them without distorting the overall design of the piece. I try to make rings in a variety of sizes, but if you’re not seeing YOUR size, please just send me an email and I’ll try to include it in the next batch of pieces.
When will you ship my order? Do you have options for expedited shipping? What about international shipping?
In order to streamline my process a little (and to avoid going to the post office every day of the week!!), I ship pieces out on Mondays and Thursdays. If you need a piece to arrive quickly, please sent me a message and we can work together to make it happen!
I also ship internationally - it's so fun for me to send pieces to other parts of the world! Please note that I always declare the full price of the piece in my customs forms and that you may have to pay customs fees to claim your package. If you're unsure how much customs fees will add to the cost of your piece, you can always do a quick online search for a customs calculator!
Will you take returns on jewelry purchases?
Yes - if your jewelry arrives and doesn't make your heart sing, please contact me and we can work to find a solution. I do my very best to take clear photos and write descriptions that accurately represent my pieces, but at the end of the day I understand that shopping for jewelry online can be tricky and I just want you to be happy with your new piece!
I do ask that you pay the return shipping fee for the piece and I will issue a refund as soon as it's back in my hands (less the shipping charged to originally get the piece to you).
How do I take care of my new jewelry?
I use many porous stones throughout my jewelry creations (like turquoise, for example!) that may become damaged if you wear them while washing dishes, swimming, etc.. Avoiding contact with oils, lotions, and makeup will also help keep your stones happy!
Please also note that the patinas on all of my pieces are likely to change when they come in contact with your environment, lifestyle, and body chemistry - I like to think of these surfaces as "living" and personally embrace the tarnish that comes from being worn. That being said, you can store your jewelry in a plastic bag when not in use to slow the surface change.
Jewelry polishing cloths can keep your silver bright and shiny, but the compounds may damage stones (again, think of the turquoise!).
Are you willing to do payment plans/layaway?
With opening up the web shop (and taking on all of the extra work that goes along with it!) I am no longer putting together payment plans - thanks for your understanding!!
Will you create a custom piece for me?
I am not currently accepting custom work at this time as I continue to follow my muse and make the pieces that reflect where I'm at in my own artistic/life journey. If I do have custom slots available, I will make an announcement on Instagram about how to get in touch to plan a piece.
Where can I go to see what you're making next? How can I contact you with questions, etc.?
If you'd like to see what I'm working on right now, please check out the blog, under the Journey link above, or take a peek at my Instagram account @clementineandsage! To get in touch (I'd love to hear from you!) you can send me a message on Instagram or an email at email@example.com.
